At the 50th Southern Counties KFA AGM on 10 October 2009 the Southern Counties KFA as we had known it for many years ceased to exist and a new Southern Counties KFA was set up with a new committee, a new focus and a new constitution.

The Committee is taking the region forward with a commitment to training and communication to all members and teachers in the southern counties.

The Southern Counties Executive Committee is focused on training and development with a sub-committee for training.

Its brief is to:

• be a link between the southern counties (Berks, Bucks, Alderney, Hants, Isle of Wight, Oxon) and the EMDP/national KFA
• oversee the development of Keep Fit in all areas
• be an organiser of training for new and all existing teachers

In order to transform the Regional Committee into its new and improved form, an EGM (General Meeting) was held on 23 May 2009.
